Contract Extension Is Not A Guarantee For Chiesa To Stay At Fiorentina

JAKARTA - Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa is rumored to be extending his contract with the club from Florence in February. This information comes from the TGR quoted by Calciomercato.com.

The Italian national player is one of the most talked about talents in Serie A. He has been the target of many big clubs in recent months, including Juventus and Inter Milan.

The latest report said, Chiesa chose to stay at the Artemio Franchi by extending his contract next month. Furthermore, the son of former Parma and Fiorentina player Enrico Chiesa will earn double his current contract.

However, the report added, the contract will not stop the 22-year-old from determining his own destiny this summer. If there is a tantalizing offer, he will leave.

At least, this news is good news for Fiorentina's tifosi when the club is suffering from a downturn this season. With Chiesa around for the next half season, they still have the capital to improve their position in the standings.

Chiesa played in 128 Fiorentina matches in all competitions. He scored 25 goals and 20 assists.
