Greysia Polii Quits Uber Cup Simulation Due To Flu

JAKARTA - Pebulu women's doubles badminton Greysia Polii canceled their appearance in the Uber Cup 2020 Simulation which will be held on 9-11 September 2020 at Pelatnas PBSI Cipayung, East Jakarta. Gresysi is currently having a cold and will be replaced by another athlete.

According to the Head of Development and Achievement of PP PBSI Susy Susanti, Greysia's resignation caused a change in the composition of women's doubles in the Banteng team for the simulation.

In addition, Greysia's position will also be replaced by one of the young players from Cipayung National Team, Meilysa Trias Puspita Sari, and will partner Allessya Rose.

“Greysia can't participate in the simulation because she has a cold. So, Apriyani will pair up with young players Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi. Meanwhile, Meilysa Trias Puspita Sari is paired with Allessya Rose, "Susy said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday.

Meanwhile, PBSI's Head of Women's Doubles Coach, Eng Hian, said that with the withdrawal of Greysia and Apriyani being paired with young players, the leading pair, namely Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti / Ribka Sugiarto.

"Now the main focus is the Fadia / Ribka couple. Yesterday they won the PBSI Internal tournament. Now we will see if they can perform consistently as they did in the internal tournament, "said Eng.

Furthermore, she revealed that the preparations made by the women's doubles team were more or less the same as preparations for the usual tournaments.
