Newcastle Vs Everton 3-1: The Magpies Out Of The Relegation Zone

JAKARTA - Newcastle United came out of the relegation zone after a 3-1 win over Everton in the match week 24 of the Premier League at St. James Park in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Launching Antara, the first goal was created in the 36th minute. Everton took the lead after Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascalles accidentally put the ball into his own net due to chaos following a free kick.

The Magpies equalized when Lascalles made amends with a header, which was crossed from a corner. The ball didn't go straight in, but hit the post and hit Mason Holgate before going into the Everton goal.

In the 56th minute Newcastle turned ahead through Ryan Fraser's goal, taking advantage of the vomit ball that the Everton back line failed to clear.

Newcastle completed their win with a third goal when in the 80th minute Kieran Trippier got his name on the scoresheet with a beautiful free-kick that Jordan Pickford failed to stop.

With that result, Newcastle are now entrenched in 17th place with 18 points, one point adrift of Everton who are one strip above it.
