Open The Fourth Series Of League 1 Against Persita, Persija Targets Clean Sheet

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta will continue their struggle in the 2021/2022 Liga 1 competition by facing Persita in the opening match of the fourth series.

Ahead of the match which will take place on Wednesday, January 26 at Stadium I Watan Dipta, Bali, the Kemayoran Tigers have made thorough preparations and also set a clean sheet target.

"The team is fine. There are no problems after the change of coach. The team is currently conducive in preparing for the nearest match," said Maman Abdurahman, quoted from the club's official website.

Furthermore, Maman also emphasized that the line of Persija defenders is now more ready to guard Andritany Ardhiyasa's goal.

This is a special concern because in the last three matches the Persija goal has regularly conceded. With the defenders getting stronger, the target for a clean sheet was also set by the Kemayoran Tigers for the match against Persita later.

"The coach has also evaluated us as defenders that we have to work as a team, not individually," he explained.

"As defenders, I and my friends have to be better at organizing the defense, if it is good, the clean sheet target that we apply can certainly be achieved," explained Maman again.

So far Persija is still considered inconsistent. Until the second round, Marco Simic et al were still stuck in 8th place in the standings with 29 points.
