Egy Maulana Vikri Officially Extends Contract With FK Senica

JAKARTA - The status of Indonesia's national team star Egy Maulana Vikri with FK Senica has come to light.

The Slovak club has officially offered a contract extension for the 21-year-old player.

Egy's contract extension was announced by the club through an upload on Instagram on Thursday, January 20 evening.

"Welcome back. We are proud to announce that our number 17 player Egy Maulan Vikri has extended his contract at FK Senica," the statement read, as quoted by VOI.

This news was reinforced by Egy's upload on the same social media. In the post he is seen wearing a jersey and standing with his back to the club logo with the caption "Bismillah."

He also included the name of the club's Instagram account in the bio. In fact, he had deleted the club's name after defending Indonesia in the AFF Cup in Singapore last December.

Egy came to Senica at the start of this season and was given a six-month contract with an option to extend it by 1.5 years. The option applies with reference to the player's performance on the field and minutes played.

During his six months at the club, Egy managed to prove himself. He managed to make two goals and recorded four assists for the club and earned the confidence to become the first team.
