JAKARTA - Athletes residing in the National Training Center PBSI are ready to return to training as usual. They have been tested before starting again routine as professional athletes.

Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and his colleagues took the test in Cipayung, East Jakarta on Wednesday, January 19.

A series of tests that were followed were laboratory examinations, examination of vital signs, height-weight, x-rays, postural examinations, foot scans, general practitioners, ECG, nutrition, and the beighton score test.

"Ideally, the data for existing athletes should be updated every six months to once a year," PBSI doctor, dr. Grace Joselini Corlesa, in an official statement received by VOI.

This test is a periodic test for health both physically and medically at PBSI. Tests are useful for preventing athletes from getting injured or other problems and for updating health data obtained last year.

In general, there were not many significant changes experienced by the athletes in the National Training Center, except for minor changes in body composition which included muscle mass and fat mass. The small change occurred due to changes in the athlete's training schedule and eating schedule.

"This is a record, but I think it's still reasonable because they are out of vacation. After entering the training program again, I'm sure they can quickly return to normal and proportional conditions," said Grace.

Pelatnas athletes will be returned to their respective clubs since December 18, 2021. After undergoing a medical test today, they will take a physical test on Thursday, January 20 tomorrow.

Apart from Kevin, present in this periodical test were Fajar Alfian, M. Rian Ardianto, Jonatan Christie, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting to Greysia Polii, and Apriyani Rahayu.

Interestingly, there are no top mixed doubles names Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktaviati and Hafiz Faizal/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja included in the statement. This clearly strengthens the rumors regarding the four names that will be kicked out of the National Training Center.

PBSI previously summoned athletes based on letter 012/3/I/2022 signed by the Deputy Secretary General of PP PBSI Edi Sukarno. In the letter the names of Praveen, Melati, Hafiz, and Gloria are not.

PBSI itself did not provide a complete list of the names of the athletes who attended today's test. VOI has tried to contact the Public Relations of the national badminton parent, but to no avail.
