Charming-looking Volleyball Player Nurlaili Kusuma Reveals The Important Figure Behind His Career Journey

JAKARTA – Nurlaili Kusuma Diningrat's charming volleyball career did not fall free from the sky. There is an important figure behind the success of the 19-year-old athlete.

Nurlaili gets a lot of camera attention in her actions in Proliga 2022. The player who strengthens PLN's Jakarta Electricity not only has a beautiful face, but also has the ability to be a mainstay in the team.

Being able to play in the highest caste of volleyball in the country, apparently cannot be separated from the role of coach Risco Herlambang. The coach, who is now working with Nurlaili in Jakarta Electric, has played a big role in the success of this Bandung father.

"Training under coach Risco is indeed very hard, but this has become my choice and must be forced if you want to become a good player," said Nurlaili as reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 12.

Nurlaili Kusumah was part of the women's volleyball team in West Java (Jabar) when she successfully secured the gold medal last PON. He is also noted to have strengthened several teams in Proliga before joining Jakarta Electric.

Jakarta BNI 46 and Bandung Bank BJB Tandamata are the two teams that Nurlaili has defended. He then moved to Jakarta Elektrik thanks to the intervention of Risco who had trained him at the beginning of his career.

Before he was famous as he is now, Nurlaili had studied at Wahana Express Group. This is where the player who plays as an open spiker meets Risco.

"Because the training was full from Monday to Saturday. When I first came in, I was sick because I wasn't used to hard training. I didn't pass out, I was just short of breath and really weak after training," recalled Nurlaili.

Nurlaili's achievements in professional volleyball competitions are still young. He made his debut as a volleyball player at the age of 14 when he was in the second grade of junior high school.

The world of volleyball was known to the son of Dandan Gunadi and Irawati when he was asked by his sports teacher to take volleyball extracurricular activities at school. The teacher who smelled his student's talent then suggested that Nurlaili take special coaching for volleyball so that her potential would be even higher.

This is where the story of Nurlaili joining Wahana and meeting Risco begins. It was Risco who directed him to become an open spiker.
