The Daddies Easy Win Over Co-hosts, Qualify For Second Round Of India Open

JAKARTA - The pair Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan had the convenience of advancing to the second round of the 2022 India Open after defeating the vice hosts Prem Singh Chouhan/Rajesh Verma in two straight games 21-18, 21-10 in New Delhi, Tuesday.

Quoted from Antara, the men's doubles nicknamed The Daddies only needed 24 minutes to record their first win over Prem/Rajesh.

The Daddies' experience in world tournaments played an important role in today's victory. In both games, Hendra/Ahsan had to go through tough competition at the beginning of the game but they were able to change the situation and hold on to dominance.

In the opening game, Prem/Rajesh repeatedly followed Hendra/Ahsan's score and even had a 5-7 lead over the Indonesian men's doubles. However, The Daddies managed to catch up and even leave his opponent to 11-7.

The advantage was maintained and The Daddies also pocketed one victory through the first game.

In the second game, Pram/Rajesh again stepped over the score of The Daddies 4-7. The world number two pair are too skilled for Prem/Rajesh and know very well what to do to turn things around.

Once again, Prem/Rajesh's score was static in seventh position, while The Daddies continued to gain advantage and reversed the score to 13-7.

Even though The Daddies' score is definitely difficult to catch, Prem/Rajesh still put up a fight and succeeded in adding points. The second game ended with a score of 21-10 for The Daddies.

Furthermore, in the round of 16, the only Indonesian men's doubles representative will still be serving the pair from India between Bhaskar Chakraborty/Kapil Chaudhary and Shashwat Dalal/Satinder Malik.
