The Team Formed By SBY, Bogor LavAni, Is Strengthened By 3 Players With The National Team Label In The 2022 Proliga

JAKARTA – The debutant men's team, Bogor LavAni, is seriously preparing their squad to navigate the 2022 Proliga. They will compete with three players who are labeled the Indonesian national team.

The three players in question are Dony Haryono, Dio Zulfikri, and Muhammad Malizi. The first two names were part of the Indonesian team that won the gold medal at the 2019 Philippines SEA Games, while the last name strengthened the national team at the 2018 Asian Games and won the award as best blocker in the 2018 Proliga season.

"Hopefully they (Dony Haryono, Dio Zulfikri, and Muhammad Malizi) can take an important role in every match," said Bogor Manager LavAni Ossy Dermawan quoted from Antara, Friday, January 7.

In addition to local names, LavAni is also ready to act on the Proliga 2022 stage with foreign players. The two names of foreign players who will fill the club formed by the sixth president of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, are Leandro Martins da Silva from Brazil and Jorge Gonzales Garcia from Cuba.

"Of course, the selection of these players is based on an assessment from the management and coaching team on the tactics and strategies that will be used later," said Ossy.

Coming with a squad of mostly debutants did not make LavAni pessimistic. They are very confident that they will be able to compete with other big names in the national volleyball team.

To be able to compete, LavAni is expected to play optimally, be aggressive, and avoid mistakes as much as possible.

"Of course, on the field, what will determine is determination, hard work, teamwork and focus from the athletes. This is what we will put forward against teams that are already experienced," said Ossy.

Proliga 2022 which officially took place at the General Police Kunarto Volleyball Padepokan, Sentul, Bogor, West Java, Friday. However, LavAni will only make her debut against Kudus Sukun Badak on Saturday.
