Following Ferran Torres And Pedri, Barcelona President Joan Laporta Is Positive For COVID-19

JAKARTA - Barcelona president Joan Laporta has tested positive for COVID-19, the Spanish club said on their official website on Wednesday.

Thus, Laporta is on the long list of people who have contracted COVID-19 in Barcelona, with most of the first team players.

Laporta had direct contact with people who were positive for COVID-19 before undergoing an antigen test. The initial results were negative before being tested positive on a second examination.

He has been confirmed to be in quarantine and will not be watching his team when they travel to Linares for the Copa del Rey match on Thursday or Granada on Sunday.

Laporta is reportedly asymptomatic but is thought to have contracted COVID-19 from Ferran Torres when he formally introduced the player on Tuesday.

Ferran Torres and Pedri are the two most recent Barcelona players to test positive for COVID-19.
