Good News, PCR Test Results For The Indonesian National Team Squad Negative For COVID-19

JAKARTA - Good news came from the Indonesian national team regarding the health conditions of all squad members after returning from the 2020 AFF Cup in Singapore. The results of the COVID-19 PCR test for Garuda employees were declared negative.

PSSI Director Indra Sjafri on Monday, January 3, revealed that the entire Garuda squad, both players and officials and other staff, were in good health.

"Thank God the PCR test of all players and officials came back negative," said Indra Sjafri in a message received by VOI.

The Indonesian national team and entourage arrived in Jakarta via Soekarno Hatta Airport on Sunday, January 2. Evan Dimas et al arrived in Jakarta after bagging the runner-up title in the 2020 AFF Cup which took place in Singapore.

Upon arrival at the airport, all Indonesian national team personnel and officials immediately underwent a PCR test before conducting quarantine as a condition of the health protocol.

"Yes, just like the others when they entered the airport yesterday," said Indra Sjafri.

"According to the rules, as soon as we arrived at the airport, we immediately swab and went into quarantine," he added.

After undergoing the test, they headed to the Sultan Hotel and the day after it was announced that the test result was negative. That way, after the ten-day quarantine period is over, the players can return to their respective clubs.

Even though they only came home as runner-up, the Garuda squad also successfully won the title as a fair play team and won the individual title for Pratama Arhan as the best young player.
