Facing The Indonesian National Team In Leg 2 Of The 2020 AFF Cup Final, Thailand Will Still Appear To Attack

JAKARTA - Thailand will again face the Indonesian national team in the second leg of the 2020 AFF Cup final, Saturday tomorrow. Ahead of the match, Alexandre Polking insisted his team would not play a defensive pattern.

Polking realized that the slick results achieved by his team in the first relief, last Wednesday, December 29, which ended with Thailand's 4-0 victory, had put one foot in the final.

Therefore, Polking feels that his team should not be too aggressive in facing the national team in the second match later.

"In this (AFF Cup final), first leg, we played the best game in the tournament," Polking said at a press conference ahead of the second leg.

"(Winning 4-0) gives us a big advantage for the current situation. We don't need to defend," added Polking.

However, the 45-year-old coach also explained that Teerasil Dangda and his friends would not play casually or lower the tempo of the game.

The War Elephants will try to attack as they have done since the start of the 2021 AFF Cup. This is considered by the coach as the right way to carry out the second leg of this final.
