Efforts To Accelerate The Revocation Of Sanctions, LADI Says Fulfillment Of Conditions Is 90 Percent

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Anti-Doping Agency (LADI) is currently in Switzerland to conduct diplomacy with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regarding the sanctions imposed on Indonesia. From the latest information, LADI's efforts continue to show good results.

Deputy Chairperson of LADI, Rheza Maulana, who also went to Switzerland, reported that LADI had completed 90 percent of the fulfillment of the requirements proposed by WADA.

"The presentation of the next session will explain what progress has been made by Indonesia so far. From the existing points, there have been 90 percent fulfillment of the requirements set by WADA," said Rheza in an official statement received by VOI, Thursday, December 9.

The departure to Switzerland was also not only attended by the Deputy Chairman and Secretary General of LADI. However, it was also attended by the Chair of the WADA Sanctions Exemption Acceleration, Raja Sapta Oktohari and several NOC representatives.

Rheza also said that the meeting in Switzerland was chaired by Okto where he started diplomatic efforts by conveying the goal that Indonesia would be free from sanctions immediately.

"The meeting was preceded by an introduction from the head of the task force, namely Okto, who conveyed Indonesia's desire to immediately be free from sanctions by fulfilling the conditions given by WADA," he explained.

Not only that, in a meeting with WADA this time Okto also explained the schedule of sports that will be held or followed by Indonesia.

"He (Raja Sapta Oktohari) also gave a timeline of sports that Indonesia might host or host in the future. He also conveyed the important reasons why we (Indonesia) must immediately be free from sanctions," Rheza added.

Of the LADI efforts that are almost completed, there is still a remaining ten percent that is still being accelerated. However, Rheza explained that the rest was more directed to regulation.

"The remaining 10 percent are related to regulations or laws that have been discussed in parliament. Where it has also been submitted related to matters related to operational independence or budgeting from the LADI budget in fulfilling future operational actions," said Rheza.
