JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali completed a discussion with PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) and the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) regarding the trial of audience attendance.

"I am with the General Chairperson of PSSI and PT LIB, you have just discussed preparations for the football competition which will begin with spectators. Since this is an early stage, there will be a trial first," said Minister of Youth and Sports Amali during an online meeting, Monday, December 6. .

The Minister of Youth and Sports explained that this meeting is a discussion stage, where the final results will be announced again after a meeting with several ranks including the police is held.

However, the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PSSI, Mochammad Iriawan, who was also present, gave a leak about the trial plan. Iriawan said this trial would be applied to the League 2 competition first.

"Today we are invited by the Minister of Youth and Sports to discuss the presence of spectators in League 1 and League 2," said Iriawan.

"While our trials will specifically be applied in the last eight matches of Liga 2, the venues are at the Pakansari Stadium and (Stadion) Wibwa Mukti, but this is just a plan," he added.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT LIB Akhmad Hadian Lukita also emphasized that this trial would only be attended by parties through special invitations. All of this was done in order to carry out health protocols which, if successfully implemented, would not rule out the possibility to continue to implement them.

"This audience trial is an early stage, so it is emphasized that not all spectators can attend. Only those who receive an invitation can go to the stadium to take part in the trial. The system used for the trial with the invitation is also properly allocated," said Akhmad.

From this meeting, it is planned that a trial of audience attendance will be conducted for the first time in the Liga 2 competition on December 15 during the kick off of the last eight at two selected stadiums, namely Pakansari Stadium and Wibawa Mukti Stadium.
