After The BWF Tournament Series, Axelsen Delivers A Touching Message Before Leaving Indonesia

JAKARTA - The world's number one men's singles badminton player, Viktor Axelsen has completed a series of tournaments organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) in Bali, Indonesia.

After finishing his last match, Axelsen was ready to return to his country, but before that he sent a touching message before leaving Indonesia. The sweet and touching message was delivered by Axelsen through his Instagram account, @viktoraxelsen.

In the upload that was shared on Monday, December 6, Axelsen expressed his gratitude to the organizers and all those who have taken care of him and his little family in Bali.

"Four weeks in Bali and the Indonesian Badminton Festival is now over and it's time to leave this beautiful place. Thank you so much to BWF, Badminton Indonesia, and everyone involved for the hard work that made this tournament possible," wrote Axelsen at the beginning of his upload.

"The hospitality at Westin Bali is amazing, so thank you to everyone for taking such good care of us. Also a big thank you from Vega (Axelsen's daughter), Natalia (Axelsen's wife) and myself for all your support here and all a gift," wrote the Danish men's single.

Not only expressing his gratitude, Axelsen also appreciated fans from Indonesia who always gave him endless support. The hospitality of Balinese people, fans and Indonesian people made him intend to return to Indonesia again.

"We really enjoyed our time here and the support from Indonesian badminton fans has been amazing. We can't wait to bring Vega back to Indonesia soon," continued Axelsen.

Finally, the Danish badminton player closed the message again with a thank you. Axelsen admits that the support from his presence in Indonesia will be a motivation to continue other tournaments.

"Once again I want to thank you once again for your support. You all give me motivation to continue all the hard work towards a new goal," concluded Axelsen.

Despite Axelsen's message before returning to Denmark, he closed the Indonesia Badminton Festival (IBF) tournament series on a sweet note. Axelsen won the title at the Indonesia Open 2021 and World Tour Finals 2021.

In the Indonesia Open 2021, Axelsen defeated Loh Kean Yew in the final. While in the 2021 WTF final he won the title after defeating Kunlavut Vitidsarn. Axesen's slick score in the 2021 IBF series brought him to the top of the men's singles badminton rankings, overtaking Kento Momota from Japan.
