COVID-19 Makes Shin Tae-yong Start Worrying About The Senior National Team And U-19 Match

JAKARTA - The coach from South Korea, Shin Tae-yong, admitted that the COVID-19 pandemic had messed up his plans for the senior national team and the Indonesian U-19 team. He also began to feel worried ahead of the senior national team and U-19 matches which will be held next October.

Shin said that he never thought there would be a COVID-19 disruption in the roadmap he made. This pandemic has made plans that he has worked out neatly, cannot go well.

"Due to COVID-19, the players must be quarantined for more than 10 days," Shin said in his interview with PSSI TV.

He revealed, in the initial plan, the coach should have seen the development of the players. Whether it's the skill or the stamina of the players. However, this could not be realized due to the pandemic.

"So I am a bit worried about the senior national team match in October and also the U-19 national team in the AFC Uzbekistan Cup," he said.

He reiterated that COVID-19 had drastically changed the plans he had compiled for the Indonesian senior national team and U-19. According to him, if it weren't for COVID-19, 50 percent of the roadmap should have been running at this time.

"Because of COVID-19, we had to create a new roadmap," said Shin Tae-yong.
