Jakarta, 03/12 (ANTARA) - The match between Tottenham vs Brentford ended with a score of 2-0. Tottenham Hotspur managed to arrest Brentford in order to continue their honeymoon with Antonio Conte in the match week 14 of the English Premier League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, Thursday local time (Friday Indonesian Western Time).

Sergi Canos' own goal, which was later followed by a simple Son Heung-min flick, made Tottenham maintain a record of not losing in three Premier League matches since Conte was handled.

Tottenham have moved up to sixth place in the standings with 22 points, while Brentford, who has only won once in their last five games, is stuck in 12th with 16 points, according to the official Premier League website as reported by Antara.

The hosts' lead opened in the 12th minute when Son's corner was saved by Pontus Jansson, but his team-mate who continued with a clear clearance saw the ball nestled into Brentford's own net.

Son and Sergio Reguilon had chances to double Tottenham's lead, but they failed to convert their respective chances and the 1-0 score lasted until halftime.

Tottenham's lead only increased in the 65th minute when Reguilon crossed from the left on the counter-attack before releasing a fine pull-back which Son just flicked into the visitors' goal.

Brentford's efforts to get up in the remaining time were fruitless, forcing Thomas Frank's team to go home empty-handed.

Both teams will play their next game on Sunday, December 5, when Tottenham host Norwich City and Brentford travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United.
