Fourth Series Of Liga 1 Held In Bali, Stefano Cugurra: Playing At Home Is Fun And Can Make Players More Confident

JAKARTA - Bali United coach Stefano Cugurra said he was happy with the competition operator's decision to appoint Bali as the location for the next match. According to him, there will be positive things for his team when playing at home.

PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the competition operator has confirmed Bali as the location for the fourth series of Liga 1 2021. This news was responded positively by Cugurra, who said he was happy and could calm down a bit.

"I think it's good (Bali is the location for the fourth series) that we are back at home. Initially, we competed in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang," said Cugurra as quoted from a statement received by VOI, Wednesday, December 1.

"Later we return (to Bali), playing at home is fun and can make players more confident," he added.

The 2021 Liga 1 event does carry a different theme, PT LIB chose to use the series format which was held in several cities as the host.

The first series itself was held in DKI Jakarta, Banten, and West Java, the second and third series were Central Java and Yogyakarta as the venues. Meanwhile, for the fourth series, Bali has been confirmed as the venue for the event.

Regarding the pattern of competition this season that uses a series system, Cugurra said that it was a good thing. Especially when the fourth series will be held in Bali, according to him, other teams will also be happy because they can stay on the Island of the Gods longer.

"I don't think Bali United is the only one who is happy. Being able to move around (venues) the whole team is sure they are happy when they can play there (Bali)," he said.

Ahead of the fourth series which will start in January, Bali United has already occupied the 4th position of the standings with 28 points. The result was achieved by Ilija Spasojevic's troops from eight wins, four draws, and two defeats.
