NTB Begins To Prepare For The Mandalika MotoGP, Attempts To Control The National Agenda Whose Schedules Are Close Together

JAKARTA - The West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government is starting to prepare to host the MotoGP which will be held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok Regency in March 2022.

The NTB Regional Secretary, H Lalu Gita Ariadi, stated that the successful implementation of the IATC and WSBK 2021 in NTB was a joint evaluation material to re-prepare Mandalika as the host of MotoGP in 2022.

"Thank God the IATC and WSBK in Mandalika went smoothly and can be said to be a success. Although there are still small shortcomings, God willing, we can work on them together as a form of our readiness to host the MotoGP event next year at the Mandalika Circuit," he said, as reported by Antara, Friday.

Miq Gite as he is familiarly called, said that the success of organizing the two international events was an achievement, considering that this was the first time the NTB Province held an international scale racing event.

"The achievement of a first experience is the value of our achievement which is above average beyond what is expected," he said.

Therefore, in the future Miq Gite, as he is familiarly called, appeals to all supporting regional committees to continue to synchronize so that the MotoGP event in 2022 can be held properly.

"The supporting regional committees must synchronize so that we can ensure that next year's MotoGP event will be held as well as possible," he said.

He also added that the NTB Provincial Government was trying to control various national agendas which were planned to be held in NTB but adjacent to the 2022 MotoGP event.

"The provincial government is trying to control national agendas that will be held at the Mandalika SEZ. So, we can focus on preparing carefully for the 2022 MotoGP event without any significant disruption," he said.

Meanwhile, the NTB Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Mohammad Iqbal stated the readiness of his personnel in maintaining security, especially in improving the quality and quality of services, learning from the evaluation of deficiencies that existed during the IATC and WSBK 2021 events.

"We will continue to try to improve the quality and quality of service for the community, because we are really enthusiastic and God willing, we are ready to carry out the MotoGP event in March 2022," he said.

He explained that there were three variables that had been successfully carried out before the event, during the event and after the IATC and WSBK were held.

"Those three variables are related to land disputes, implementation of health protocols and extraordinary security. But of course it will continue to be addressed so that the 2022 MotoGP event in NTB will be of higher quality," he said.
