Alleged Match Fixing Appears In League 3, Komdis Quick Action Search

JAKARTA - PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) Chair Erwin Tobing responded to the issue of alleged match-fixing that occurred in Liga 3 2021 in the East Java area.

Following up on the news, Erwin said that the authority regarding the indication rests with the East Java Asprov. The news of the alleged bribery will be handled by Asprov.

"I have been asked a lot about the case in East Java regarding the fixing of scores," said Erwin at a press conference at the PSSI building, Thursday, November 18.

"I want to explain that it is within the scope of the East Java 3 League. Because the East Java 3rd League, it will be handled by the East Java PSSI Asprov and the Komdisnya," he explained.

The alleged bribery that occurred in the East Java League 3 began with the Gresik Putra team (Gestra Paranane FA) who raised the issue of alleged match-fixing in Group B League 3 East Java Zone. The issue of the indication of setting the score then dragged another participant in this group, namely NZR Sumbersari.

Although he did not directly handle this allegation, Erwin said that the Central Komdis would continue to oversee the disclosure of the alleged bribery.

“We contact, listen, and give directions what to do with them (East Java Asprov). If it turns out to be known, hopefully it can be revealed, immediately cooperate with the Regional Police to be thoroughly investigated, "he said.

As a sign of seriousness in handling this case, Erwin said the Asprov of East Java was working. They even had a second trial.

Not only the Asprov and the East Java Komdis were directly involved, Erwin explained that they had also cooperated with the Regional Police. Because, as directed by the General Chairperson of PSSI, there should be no match-fixing in any sector.

"Police will certainly help to deal with it, Ketum really doesn't want there to be match-fixing in football, we all don't want that to happen," he said.
