Marc Marquez Will Be Absent At Valencia Due To Vision Problems

JAKARTA - Six-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez will miss the season finale at this weekend's Valencia Grand Prix. Marquez was declared unfit following an off-road practice accident last week.

The Repsol Honda rider has been experiencing vision problems since crashing in practice ahead of the Algarve Grand Prix in Portugal which he also missed.

"During these rest days, Marc continues to feel unwell and has vision problems, which is why this Monday he was visited by Dr. Sanchez Dalmau who examined him and performed tests that detected a new episode of diplopia," Repsol Honda said in a statement. , Wednesday.

Previously, Aprilia Gresini's Aleix Espargaro said Marquez also suffered a broken hand.

“No one has definitive information about how the accident happened. Maybe Marquez's hand is broken too. One thing is for sure, he is not here because he has a concussion," said Espargaro.
