Asking For Maximum Riders In The Ultimate Race, Pertamina Director Mandalika: Sure Can Get Points

JAKARTA - Pertamina Mandalika team management asked its riders to perform optimally and never give up in the final Moto2 race as shown during the race at the Portimao Circuit, Portugal, Sunday.

In Moto2 Algarve, the riders who were fielded namely Tom Luthi started 24th and finished 19th, Piotr Biesiekirski started the shortest and finished 25th and Bo Bendsneyder started 25th and managed to get points after finishing 15th.

"I said, don't be discouraged, if you can get points, keep your spirits up. So indeed, he must continue to be encouraged because his abilities are indeed good," said Pertamina Mandalika Director Kemalsyah Nasution, as reported by Antara, Tuesday.

With the results in Portugal, Kemal hopes that positive achievements will be achieved again in the final race. According to the schedule, the final race one level below MotoGP will take place at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Valencia, this weekend.

The President of Pertamina Mandalika, Rapsel Ali, also expressed his appreciation and hope. According to him, Bo Bendsneyder's struggle deserves appreciation, as well as the two other team riders in the Moto2 Algarve race.

"Congratulations in particular to Bo who performed very well, starting in 29th position but finishing in the 15th point zone. Everyone knows that the Moto2 class competition is very tight and competitive. It is not easy to just finish in the top 15," he said.

Meanwhile, Bo Bendsneyder said he was proud of the support provided by the Pertamina Mandalika team management.

"Thank you to the team for supporting me during Moto2 Algarve. Now I am very confident looking at the final series in Valencia," said the Dutch rider who also has Indonesian descent.

Bo Bendsneyder in the Moto2 standings is in 16th position with 46 points while Tom Luthi is in 22nd position with 23 points. For the leader of the standings is Remy Gardner with 305 points.
