Proud Of Pioli Even Though Milan Only Drew In The Della Madonnina Derby

JAKARTA - The hot match between two Milan clubs is presented in the 12th week of the Italian Serie A 2021/2022. AC Milan who was appointed to host must be willing to share points 1-1 with Inter Milan.

However, AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli said he was proud of his team. Because, in that match the Rossoneri played more young players, but still managed to look impressive.

In that match, AC Milan was conceded first because of a penalty that was executed by Hakan Calhanoglu in the 11th minute. But then AC Milan could make it 1-1 after Stefan de Vrij's own goal in the 17th minute.

Responding to the course of the match, Pioli realized how the players struggle on the field. According to him, the first half was quite tight and his team could still rise.

"You aim to win, but it's difficult. The team showed a lot of spirit and we struggled a lot in the first half, but then bounced back after the break," he said.

This draw still separates the positions of the two teams in the standings. Inter are in third place with 25 points, AC Milan sit in second place with 32 points.
