JAKARTA - Intinusa Olah Prima Football Academy (ASIOP) is ready to compete at the international level after having a world-standard and FIFA-certified training field complex called ASIOP Training Ground.
"This (field) makes us a club or academy with international standards. So hopefully we can improve the quality of players not only to compete in Indonesia but also to compete at the regional level," said ASIOP Chairman Ade Wellington as quoted by Antara, Monday.
The ASIOP training field complex, located in the Sentul area, Bogor Regency, was inaugurated on Sunday, November 7 and consists of two FIFA standard grass pitches and one goalkeeper training field.
The surrounding facilities include spectator stands, changing rooms, fitness rooms, health clinics, shops, prayer rooms, classrooms, cafes and others.
The complex has an area of three hectares and was built in April-October 2021.
"This ASIOP Training Ground is one of the milestones in ASIOP's history. This field will be a witness in our struggle to maximize the football coaching program that we have been living for more than 24 years," said ASIOP Director Ade Prima Syarif.
In addition to top-class pitches, ASIOP also provides several other supports to its footballers so that they can compete abroad, such as using a curriculum that is affiliated to Spanish football and several international clubs.
ASIOP is currently partnering with clubs such as Villarrobledo CD Polillas Ceuta and, more recently, US club Brooklyn United.
"If ASIOP sends players and plays in the world leagues directly or indirectly, we will raise the quality of players in Indonesia. In the end, it will be beneficial for the Indonesian national team. So we no longer need to naturalize people who do not have Indonesian blood. , said Ade Wellington.
