Mr. Y Outspoken About Fixing Scores Without Revealing Identity, This Is What Makes PSSI Want To Sue Mata Najwa

JAKARTA - The All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) is trying to take firm steps by filing a lawsuit against the Mata Najwa program. The lawsuit was filed by the Chairman of the PSSI Refereeing Committee, Ahmad Riyadh in an effort to obtain the original identity of the referee who carried out the match fixing in the 2021 Indonesian Liga 1 competition. The Mata Najwa program which was broadcast on Wednesday, November 3 raised the theme "PSSI Can What Volume 6: Again This is it". The event hosted by Najwa Shihab invited a referee who claimed to be the perpetrator of the match fixing in one of the matches in Liga 1 2021. However, they chose not to provide the identity of the referee. In fact, according to PSSI, by providing the complete identity of the score-fixing actors, the Mata Najwa program can directly help PSSI which is working hard to eradicate fraudulent practices in the field. In the program, the referee called "Mr. Y" explained that he had only led Liga 1 in the 2021-2022 season. Although he has only been involved as a referee in this season's competition, the perpetrators have revealed that they have committed fraudulent practices. "It's only this season (becoming a referee)," said Mr Y, quoted by VOI from YouTube Najwa Shihab, Friday

"For this year we played twice (fixing the score), for other matches it could be like that (rigged)," he added. Mr. Y also admitted that he was not afraid when asked about the existence of the Anti-Mafia Ball Task Force, which was always on standby in every match. According to him, the presence of the Task Force in the field is only a sweetener. "It is impossible for us to smell cheating because we are used to it. Meanwhile, their job (Anti Mafia Task Force) is to just stand on the sidelines, so we don't think so (suspected)," he said.
