JAKARTA - Honda HRC test rider Stefan Bradl will return to defend the Repsol Honda team to replace Marc Marquez at the Algarve Grand Prix, Portimao, Portugal this weekend.
After winning two consecutive wins, Marquez had to miss the final series of the 2021 MotoGP season due to an injury during off-road practice on Saturday.

This will be Bradl's fifth appearance of the season after four previous appearances on track had led to points for the team. P11 in Qatar was the German's best result so far.
Portimao holds fond memories of Bradl's P7 finish there last year, his second top ten result that season and his best finish of the year.
"I wish Marc a speedy recovery and he can get back on track soon," said Bradl.
"I'm looking forward to racing again because Portimao is a fun circuit where I got good results at the end of the 2020 season.
"It's never easy riding a bike, but we had a lot of fun with the bike this year between the races and the tests."
