The organizers expressed their deep regret for the incident. They admitted that they had tried their best to make Tenxi able to greet his fans in Malaysia.

"The SoundCircus - AOS team would like to express our deepest regret that although we have tried our best to overcome all the problems that have arisen regarding TENXI's performance plan, our options quickly ran out yesterday," the organizers wrote, quoting a statement on the SoundCircus Instagram account, Tuesday, August 4.

The organizer revealed that this cancellation started from technical problems and internal conflicts experienced by the artist's management. Tenxi was known to have missed the flight that had been prepared.

In fact, preparations at the event location were actually mature. The technical team from Tenxi itself is reported to have arrived in Malaysia and completed the sound check on the main stage of the festival.

"Unfortunately, the artist missed the flight that had been booked in advance, and a dispute within their internal team caused a situation beyond our control. In order to save the performance, SoundCircus had to communicate with the Tenxi team to reschedule the flight. The committee was even willing to bear all the costs of the new plane ticket in order to satisfy the thirst of music lovers who had already arrived. "The TENXI team communicated with AOS for the purchase of new plane tickets according to the new time schedule they wanted, where we agreed to bear the cost so that fans could enjoy his performance, but there was no confirmation until there was no more time left," said SoundCircus.

The organizers also apologized to all visitors who felt disadvantaged by Tenxi's absence on the SoundCircus 2026 stage.

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating a number of projects in Bengkulu City which are suspected of being tainted with corruption in the procurement process. The investigation was carried out by examining Noprisman as the Head of the Bengkulu City PUPR on Monday, August 3.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said Noprisman was examined at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta. He was questioned in his capacity as a witness in the development of alleged bribery projects in Rejang Lebong Regency.

JAKARTA - The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) recorded the highest banking deposit growth until June 2026 from the account group with a balance of over IDR 5 billion which increased 15.44 percent year-on-year (yoy).

Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners, Anggito Abimanyu, in the assessment of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) explained that this growth was mainly driven by an increase in corporate funds.

He added that overall, deposits across all nominal groups also recorded positive growth.

According to Anggito, the growth of deposits in various balance groups is in the range of 0.78 percent to 15.44 percent annually, and this shows the ability of the community and business actors to save in aggregate is still maintained.

"This certainly provides an indication that on average, the ability to save in this group or in all groups is still maintained over time," he said in a press conference on the Results of the 2026 KSSK III Periodic Meeting, quoted Tuesday, August 9.

They are former Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, former Special Staff to the Minister of Religion Ishfah Abidal Azis alias Gus Alex, Director of Operations of Maktour Travel Ismail Adhan, and former General Chairman of the Indonesian Republic of Hajj Umrah Travel Union (Kesthuri) Asrul Azis Taba.

The investigation began with the distribution of 20,000 additional Hajj quotas given by the Government of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia in 2023 and 2024. Based on Law Number 8 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of the Hajj and Umrah and the agreement of the Panja Commission VIII of the DPR RI, the additional quota should be divided with a composition of 92 percent for regular Hajj and 8 percent for special Hajj.

JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has raised the status of the free nutritious food poisoning (MBG) case to a fatal incident following the incident that befell a number of beneficiaries at SMKN 6 Semarang. JAKARTA - The number of deaths from the devastating twin earthquakes that shook Venezuela in late June has risen to 6,125, according to a senior official on Monday.

National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez provided the latest data on the disaster in a statement.

He noted that the emergency team managed to save 6,642 people after the seismic activity, Anadolu (4/8) reported.

Furthermore, Rodriguez reported that 60,992 people needed hospital care throughout the South American country.

Regarding housing, authorities have evaluated more than 40,000 residences. Of these, 25,325 are still habitable, while 9,866 are restricted and 6,433 are classified as "high-risk."

"The government has sent 287 new houses to displaced families so far," Rodriguez said.

Cleanup operations have also made progress, with teams having collected more than 382,230 tons of debris, representing about 16.5% of the estimated total of ruins.

The earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 and 7.5 hit the country on June 24, causing massive damage and triggering a national emergency.

JAKARTA - Thailand is ready to supply 36 wheeled amphibious armored vehicles to the Indonesian Marine Corps. The offer was made by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul when he met President Prabowo Subianto.

Anutin conveyed this in a joint press statement with Prabowo at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, August 3.

According to Anutin, the Indonesian-Thai defense cooperation needs to be expanded, including in the field of defense industry.

Israel has stepped up its offensive in Gaza in recent days, with at least 19 people killed in Sunday's attack.

It is known that the health authorities in Gaza announced on Sunday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression in the Palestinian enclave since October 2, 2023 has reached 73,356 people while the number of injured reached 174,185 people.

TIMIKIA - The Commander of the Joint Command for the Defense Region (Pangkogabwilhan) III, Lieutenant General TNI Lucky Avianto, ultimatum the armed separatist group of the Free Papua Organization (OPM) to stop the violence and immediately surrender to the security forces.

The four victims who died have been identified, namely Barengga, Alfons, Arman Sibarani, and Erlin Aritonang.

They are workers on a road construction project being carried out for the National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN) Wamena, a technical implementation unit under the Directorate General of Road Construction.

According to the statement from Kogabwilhan III, the workers were resting at the company camp after completing activities at the project site when the attack occurred.

Based on information from Kogabwilhan III, the perpetrators of the attack were suspected to be a group of OPM led by Serius Wanimbo alias Joni Wanimbo alias Botak Wanimbo along with the Teranus Enumbi group.

It is said that the armed group came suddenly and fired at the workers' camp. As a result of the attack, three workers died at the scene, while another victim was found not far from the camp in a dead state.

A total of 20 TNI Task Force personnel from Koops Habema were deployed to evacuate the victims and carry out a pursuit of the group suspected of being involved in the attack.

During the operation, the police also found one SS1-type assault rifle that was left behind when the perpetrator fled.

"Because of fear and haste to flee into the jungle, one of the OPM members left one barrel of his SS1 assault rifle," said Lucky.

In addition to evacuating the deceased, TNI personnel also managed to find seven other workers in a safe state. All victims have been evacuated to Mulia Hospital, Puncak Jaya Regency for further treatment.

JAKARTA - OpenAI is not only preparing one device for ChatGPT. OpenAI President Greg Brockman confirmed that the company is building a family of devices, amid a push for more interaction with computers through voice.

Yahoo Tech quoted Monday, August 3, reported that the statement was made by Brockman while talking to Joanna Stern on his YouTube channel. When asked about rumors of AI-based smart speakers, Brockman did not confirm or deny.

He actually said that OpenAI is preparing several devices.

"We're building one family of devices," Brockman said.

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that his agency issued six letters of termination of investigation (SP3) until the middle of this year.
