JAKARTA - The Sahabat Klasik Retro Bersama (SKRB) community held The Heritage Classic & Retro Festival Vol. 1 at the Puteri Gunung Hotel, Lembang. This first festival presents a classic and retro vehicle exhibition that combines automotive elements, communities, lifestyles, and tourism in a typical mountain atmosphere that is full of heritage nuances.
The event is a venue for lovers of classic vehicles, automotive communities, families, tourists, and the general public. Not only showcasing vintage vehicles as a symbol of nostalgia, this festival also raises the value of history, character, and stories attached to each vehicle displayed.
In its first implementation, The Heritage Classic & Retro Festival was attended by 33 classic and retro automotive communities from various regions. In addition, there were 38 classic and retro vehicles on display, from the Jabodetabek area, Greater Bandung, Tasikmalaya, Sumedang, Garut, to Cirebon.
Various activities also enlivened this festival, ranging from talkshows regarding investment opportunities in classic and retro vehicles, exhibitions of restored vehicles that have been returned to the original condition of the manufacturer (back to factory condition), retro-custom vehicles, to units that still maintain the authenticity of their condition.
"Classic vehicles are not just about age or unique shapes. Inside there is history, accuracy, quality of workmanship, personal stories, and passion from owners and communities who care for them. Through The Heritage, we want to provide a space for appreciation for these values," said Event Director The Heritage Classic & Retro Festival Vol. 1 Otto Noordraven, quoted Monday, June 6.
According to him, every classic vehicle has a story that is an important part of its appeal. The care taken, the dedication of the owner, to the pride that accompanies it make these vehicles still have a place in the hearts of fans.
"Behind every classic vehicle there is always a story. There are memories, there are journeys, and there is a commitment to preserving something valuable. This is what makes classic vehicles not just a collection of objects, but part of a legacy that has emotional value," Otto added.
Meanwhile, one of the founders of the Classic & Retro Friends Community Together, Ismeth Emier Osman, assessed that this festival was a first step to strengthen relations between classic and retro automotive communities in Indonesia.
"The Heritage is not only about classic and retro vehicles, but about building a wider brotherhood among Indonesian automotive enthusiasts. We want to create a space where the community can get to know each other, share experiences, learn together, and build an increasingly stronger classic vehicle ecosystem," said Ismeth.
In addition to classic car and motorcycle exhibitions, this festival also presents various community activities and vintage lifestyle concepts. The series of activities began with Dinner Night on June 5, 2026 which became a gathering place between communities, invited guests, and fans of classic vehicles.
"We want The Heritage to be a festival that is not only attractive to the automotive community, but also relevant to families, tourists, creative people, and the wider community. Lembang has a strong appeal as a tourist destination, and we believe events like this can be a new magnet for this area," explained Ismeth.
The organizer hopes that The Heritage can develop into an annual agenda that is consistent and has a strong identity among lovers of classic and retro automobiles. This festival is also expected to be a means of collaboration between communities, creative industries, and the tourism sector.
On the other hand, the Retro Classic Friends Community is a platform for owners, collectors, hobbyists, and observers of classic and retro vehicles. Through various activities such as exhibitions, gatherings, and event collaborations, this community strives to strengthen the culture of classic automotive in Indonesia.
