Rely on Agya, GR Garage Auto2000 Racing Team Back on the Track at the Racing Track

JAKARTA - Auto2000 ensures that the GR Garage Auto2000 Racing Team (GRT) will again take part in the 2026 Indonesian Touring Car Race (ITCR) 1200 and Agya One Make Race (OMR) National Championships (Kejurnas). The announcement was made at an event held at GR Garage by Auto2000, Thursday, June 4.

All rounds of the ITCR 1200 and Agya OMR Kejurnas this year will be held at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), as part of the Mandalika Festival of Speed (MFoS) 2026 series. Through this participation, Auto2000 strives to provide full support to the racers who carry the name of the team while maintaining the achievements achieved in the previous season.

"This is a strategic step in expanding our contribution to the development of the Indonesian motorsport ecosystem, and Auto2000's commitment to being able to innovate in providing the best service to AutoFamily. In the world of motorsport we learn the importance of precision, speed of decision-making, team collaboration, and technological innovation," said Auto2000 Chief Executive Anton Jimmi Suwandy, to reporters.

In the 2025 season, GRT recorded quite impressive results by collecting 21 podiums in the ITCR 1200 and Agya OMR events. This achievement also led the team to win the third best team title, right behind the two manufacturer teams.

Auto2000 Chief Marketing, Yagimin, assessed that participation in the racing world was an important means to improve the technical capabilities of mechanics under the auspices of Auto2000.

"This is the Auto2000 laboratory in forging mechanical skills to develop high-performance cars, to compete with other professional mechanics throughout Indonesia. This year we are ready to gaspol again to be able to reach the podium," he said.

GR Garage Auto2000 Racing Team was officially formed in May 2025 as a non-factory racing team that operates under GR Garage by Auto2000. The presence of this team is part of the Life is Easy with Auto2000 initiative which aims to provide Toyota services that are closer, more convenient, and complete for customers.

In line with the spirit of GAZOO Racing, GR Garage is also actively developing mechanical capabilities through Toyota-standard training and direct involvement in various national racing events as a supporting team.

For this season's competition, GRT again relies on the Toyota Agya which was developed with the support of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Indonesia (TGRI), and Toyota Customizing & Development (TCD). According to the team, the vehicle development process went relatively smoothly because the Agya was considered to have a character that was ready to be used for racing needs.

Through a series of adjustments made by the Auto2000 engineer team, the car's performance was improved to make it more competitive on the track. Carrying the long experience in serving Toyota users in Indonesia, Auto2000 again entrusts the team's struggle to professional racers, namely Romy Tahrizi, Aris F. Harvenda, Leo Bagas, and Ferry Saputra.

With a vehicle base that is known to be easy to modify, the New Agya is combined with special development from GRT to adapt to the character and needs of each racer. In addition to being active in the racing arena, GR Garage by Auto2000 also continues to strengthen its position as a center for automotive modification and lifestyle.
