Lalamove Lampaui Targets Environmentally Friendly Vehicles Three Years Faster

JAKARTA - The global on-demand delivery platform, Lalamove, has officially released its 2025 Sustainability Report which recorded significant achievements in environmental and social agendas. Lalamove announced that it had exceeded the global target for the use of new energy vehicles (NEVs) faster than the original deadline set for 2028.

Until April 2026, more than 60 percent of Lalamove's orders in the Chinese market have been fulfilled using environmentally friendly vehicles. In the van fleet category, the figure even reached 67 percent. This achievement is an important milestone in the company's efforts to reduce Scope 3 carbon emissions from driver partner vehicles.

Managing Director of Lalamove Indonesia, Andito B. Prakoso, stated that the success of exceeding the target three years earlier was the result of a data-based approach and strategic collaboration with automotive manufacturers.

"These various achievements show how sustainability is part of the way Lalamove operates and grows. We remain committed to creating measurable long-term value for driver partners, users, and the community," said Andito in a written statement, Friday, April 24.

Operational Efficiency and Climate Transparency

In addition to fleet transitions, Lalamove reduces emissions through technology optimization. The company implements route suggestions and a more accurate order-matching system to reduce empty mileage.

In terms of transparency, Lalamove is now implementing qualitative scenario analysis and a double materiality approach in its ESG reporting. This step aims to provide clearer information for investors and stakeholders related to the company's climate risk management.

Data Security and Work Safety

Lalamove also strengthened its governance standards by obtaining ISO 27701 certification for its privacy information management system in Hong Kong. In the field of safety, the company managed to maintain an injury-free operational rate of 99.9 percent across markets for four consecutive years.

"This achievement is supported by driver partner training programs and the use of AI technology that provides real-time assistance while traveling," added management in the report.

Social Impact Through 'Deliver Care'

Through the social initiative entitled Deliver Care, Lalamove is expanding its assistance reach by 2025. Flagship programs such as Elder Care on the Move are focused on distributing the needs of the elderly in Asia. The company is also active in distributing emergency aid quickly in disaster-affected areas in China, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia.

With the results of this report, Lalamove confirms its ambition to continue to align business growth with positive social impact across all its operational regions, including Indonesia.
