Zeekr 001 Special Edition Launches with 912 HP Power and 2.9 Seconds Acceleration

JAKARTA - Geely through its premium brand presents a special edition of Zeekr 001 in China to celebrate five years of the electric liftback model's presence. This latest version comes with an FR-Line exterior and interior package, and produces up to 680 kW or the equivalent of 912 hp.

Since its debut in 2021 as the first model of Zeekr, the 001 has continued to undergo significant development. In 2024, its performance was increased to 580 kW from the previous 400 kW.

A year later, the update was carried out again by introducing a 900V electrical system and a dual motor AWD configuration that is now capable of spitting out 680 kW of power. Distribution of Zeekr 001 in the domestic market began in November 2021.

Based on data from China EV DataTracker, the total shipment has reached 301,720 units as of February 2026. This model has also been marketed to various global regions such as Europe, Central Asia, and North America.

Despite the news about the successor, Zeekr confirmed that this model will remain the backbone of its product line for a long time. This special edition is scheduled to be officially launched on April 10.

As reported by Carnewschina, Saturday, April 4, the variant introduced carries the name Zeekr 001 5th Anniversary Edition. This car comes with an exclusive FR-Line package, marked by a red emblem, 22-inch forged rims wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires, and a carbon fiber rear spoiler.

The appearance is even more assertive with the black roof, Brembo six-piston brake calipers, and Glacier Silver color coating. Entering the cabin, the sporty feel is even more felt through the use of red Alcantara material on the front seats with black checkered flag pattern accents.

Meanwhile, the second row seats combine black with red checkered accents. The special edition identity is emphasized by the FR-Line emblem on the headrests and door sills. The interior is also enriched with red seat belts, suede lining on the ceiling, red accents on the center console and steering wheel, and an audio system with 29 speakers.

From the feet, the car is equipped with KW's blended coilover suspension that allows for 16 levels of rebound and 12 levels of compression, as well as vehicle height adjustment up to 35 mm. Zeekr revealed that the KW team from Germany took three years to perfect the calibration through 7-Post Rig testing, with improvements on about 200 parameters, including steering response, stability, and control.

Performance is the main attraction. This edition of Zeekr 001 carries a dual motor AWD system with a peak power of 680 kW. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is claimed to be only 2.91 seconds, while the maximum speed reaches 280 km/h.

Its energy source comes from a 103 kWh Qilin ternary NMC battery from CATL that supports 6C technology, allowing 10 to 80 percent charging in 10 minutes. In CLTC testing, the mileage is claimed to reach 680 km.

In addition, this car is also equipped with the G-Pilot H7 driving assistance system which is equipped with LiDAR sensors and Nvidia Drive Thor-U chips with computing capabilities up to 700 TOPS.
