JAKARTA - Jaecoo Indonesia continues to rush the delivery of its most popular electric SUV, the J5 EV. To date, 7,000 units have been handed over to consumers and the number will continue to increase.

The handover was marked by a symbolic ceremony in an event titled 'A Milestone of Trust' which was held as a gathering event between Jaecoo and vehicle owners in Indonesia.

Business Unit Director Jaecoo Indonesia, Jim Ma, revealed the company's current focus is ensuring every unit reaches consumers as quickly as possible.

"With a target (of delivery) of 10,000 units distributed before Eid," he said, during a joint fasting event in the Jakarta area, Sunday, March 8.

"We will send another 3,000 units before Lebaran to ensure market needs," he added.

On the other hand, Head of Product Jaecoo Indonesia Ryan Ferdiean Tirto, said that currently the order for the Jaecoo J5 EV has reached 15,000 units. The initial stage has a fairly long inden.

"In early December 2025 and January 2026, our production volume is not as much as this. But now, in February 2026, we have reported sales of almost 3,000 units in one month.

The Jaecoo J5 EV is equipped with an electric motor with 155 kW (equivalent to 210 PS) power and a peak torque of 288 Nm which provides instant acceleration typical of electric vehicles. The 60.9 kWh battery allows this car to travel up to 461 km on a single charge (based on NEDC standards). With a fast charging capacity of 130 kW, power can be charged from 30 to 80 percent in just 28 minutes.
