Great Wall Motor Records Nearly 350 SPK at IIMS 2026, Tank 500 Diesel Wins Best Big SUV

JAKARTA - Inchcape GWM Indonesia recorded positive achievements at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), with nearly 350 reservations during the event.

GWM claims that this figure has increased more than threefold compared to IIMS 2025, showing the increasing public interest in GWM's product portfolio, which is increasingly relevant to mobility needs in Indonesia. Overall, since the launch of the Premium SUV Tank 500 Diesel in early February, the company has managed to record nearly 600 reservations, confirming the strong appeal of GWM's SUV line.

Among all the models that appear at IIMS 2026, the Tank 300 Diesel is one of the largest contributors to bookings, with the 4x4 variant contributing 22 percent thanks to the combination of premium comfort and off-road feature completeness that makes it tough in various terrains.

Meanwhile, the 4x2 variant recorded 11 percent of orders and offers a different character that is no less powerful, a dashing and tough appearance that gives a sense of confidence when used in urban areas, making it the ideal choice for consumers who want a strong character SUV with premium comfort for daily mobility.

For the Tank 500 Diesel model, the 4x2 variant is the most ordered with a contribution of 22 PERCENT, confirming that first-class comfort and interior luxury are the top priorities for many consumers of this Premium SUV. Interestingly, ordering the 4x4 variant is also very competitive with a 20 percent achievement.

In addition, the ORA 03 electric car again showed a positive trend by recording 18 percent of orders during the exhibition, further strengthening its position as one of the favorite electric vehicle choices of urban Indonesian people.

GWM Tank 500 Diesel's impressive performance on the IIMS 2026 stage ultimately led this model to win the "Best Big SUV" award from Dyandra Promosindo. This recognition places GWM Tank 500 Diesel as one of the most competitive players in the Premium Big SUV segment, while strengthening its position as the main choice for consumers looking for first-class comfort and feature excellence in its class.
