JAKARTA - Chinese automotive manufacturer BYD continues to introduce its latest technology in Indonesia. Utilizing the 2026 IIMS event, this Chinese automotive giant introduced the E3 Platform, which was developed specifically for electric cars.

Boby explained further, that the E3 Platform itself is an further development of the e-Platform, which started from e-Platform 1.0 to 3.0 which is now in BYD cars in Indonesia. Bobby added, the most important point on the E3 Platform is the use of three electric motors.
One in the front, two in the back left and right sides. The Denza Z9 GT itself carries three electric motors, with details of 230 kW power in the front, then the back in 240 kW right-left.
"So, the total performance is up to 710 kW with a torque of 1,150 Nm," said Bobby.
In addition, on the E3 Platform, there are Cell-to-Body (CTB), Rear Wheel Steering, and Vehicle Motion Control technologies. Cell-to-body allows the battery to merge with the sassis.
"The battery is installed in such a way with a technology called CTB, Cell-to-Body. So, the battery is inserted into the platform, fused into one with the platform," he said.
