JAKARTA - Suzuki Indonesia closed 2025 with a brilliant achievement through sales figures that are claimed to have penetrated above 64,000 units of cars.

This figure confirms Suzuki's position as the main choice of Indonesian families, as well as providing a significant positive impact on strengthening the national automotive industry.

Through the absorption of local components and the optimization of manufacturing facilities in the country, Suzuki continues to be committed to being a sustainable economic wheel driver in Indonesia.

Deputy to 4W Sales & Marketing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, Dony Saputra, said that throughout 2025, more than 64,000 Suzuki cars had been sold to consumers in the country with various models offered.

"The interesting fact about the products we offer is that 88 percent of the total sales are the result of domestically produced products. This is Suzuki's success in supporting the development of the automotive industry in the country," he said, during a media gathering event, in the Jakarta area, Thursday, January 29.

The biggest achievement or dominance of the two models is the Carry in the commercial segment and the XL7 in the passenger segment. The new Carry has consistently been the first choice for business actors, with a contribution of 47 percent of total retail sales. This figure reflects the high market demand for commercial vehicles that are durable and efficient in operating costs.

Turning to the passenger vehicle segment, market trends show strong interest in Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) models. The New Suzuki XL7 is the largest contributor in this category with a share of 20 percent, accommodating consumers' needs for a functional 7-passenger family car.

Suzuki's SUV line is becoming more complete and competitive with the presence of Fronx. Carrying a modern SUV Coupe style, this model is produced directly at the Cikarang factory to meet the needs of the domestic market as well as projected for export markets to various countries.

Since its launch in May 2025, Fronx has successfully recorded sales of nearly 10,000 units or equivalent to 14 percent of Suzuki's total sales. This positive market acceptance is also strengthened by the achievement of 13 national awards, including the title of Car of the Year 2025.

In addition to the popularity of SUV models, 2025 is also an important momentum for the adoption of electrification technology in Indonesia. The availability of Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) technology variants on key models such as Grand Vitara, New XL7, and Fronx has managed to change consumers' perspectives on efficient vehicles that are still affordable.

"Acceptance of hybrid technology turns out to be very positive. Based on data from Gaikindo, six out of ten buyers of Suzuki passenger cars now choose the hybrid variant. This is proof that people can now enjoy much better fuel efficiency, while also making a real contribution to reducing carbon emissions through the vehicles they use every day," concluded Dony.
