Sailun Inaugurates Tire Plant in Indonesia, Strengthens Southeast Asia Production Base

JAKARTA - Sailun Group, one of the world's largest tire manufacturers, reaffirmed its commitment to the Southeast Asian market by inaugurating its latest manufacturing facility in Indonesia.

This strategic move by the Chinese manufacturer is an important milestone in Sailun's global expansion as well as strengthening Indonesia's position as a production and distribution center for tires in the region.

Sailun's long-term commitment in Indonesia is realized through the construction of a manufacturing facility in Demak, Central Java, which is managed by PT Sailun Manufacturing Indonesia, a subsidiary of Sailun International Holding.

This factory was built with a large investment value and will produce radial tires for passenger vehicles (PCR), buses and trucks (TBR), and heavy equipment (OTR). In the initial phase, Sailun Indonesia's factory is targeted to have an annual production capacity of up to 3.6 million PCR tires, 600 thousand TBR tires, and 37,000 tons of OTR tires.

Not only functioning as a production center, Sailun Indonesia is also developed as a national distribution and after-sales service hub. Through PT Sailun Tire Indonesia and the support of local partners, Sailun is building a reliable distribution system to ensure product availability, delivery speed, and competitive after-sales services throughout Indonesia.

"With the operation of Sailun's manufacturing base in Indonesia, we are building a complete product and service ecosystem, ranging from PCR, TBR, OTR, to TUBE and FLAP, which is rooted in the spirit of Made in Indonesia," said Sales & Marketing Director of PT Sailun Tire Indonesia, Eko Supriyatin, when met in Semarang, Sunday, January 18.

This momentum is celebrated through the agenda "Smart Manufacturing · Shared Success Sailun Group Partners Conference", which is a strategic collaboration event to open a new chapter of Sailun's growth in Southeast Asia. This event also marks the official launch of Sailun's manufacturing operations in Indonesia.

With integrated investment, technology, and long-term strategies, Sailun Group is optimistic that its presence in Indonesia will make a real contribution to the national tire industry, create jobs, and strengthen Indonesia's competitiveness in the global automotive supply chain.
