Veloz Hybrid Becomes Toyota's Cheapest Hybrid, Special Price Turns Out to Be Only Until the End of 2025

JAKARTA - Toyota Veloz Hybrid was launched at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025 with a starting price of Rp. 299 million, so it immediately carries the status as the most affordable hybrid car in the Toyota Indonesia lineup. However, keep in mind, the price has a time limit.

Previously, the cheapest hybrid position was held by the Yaris Cross Hybrid which played in the price range of Rp. 400 million. Now, through Veloz Hybrid, Toyota is expanding consumer access to hybrid technology, especially in the seven-passenger MPV segment.

Veloz V HEV is the cheapest variant with a price of IDR 299 million, followed by Q HEV with a range of IDR 320-335 million. There is also the Veloz Q HEV with Modellista variant with a price range of IDR 335-350 million, and Veloz Q HEV TSS with Modellista as the highest variant at a price of IDR 360-390 million.

If you are interested in bringing Veloz Hybrid at a price below IDR 300 million, remember that there is a time limit. The Japanese manufacturer confirmed that the special price is only until the end of this year.

"As a domestically produced hybrid car, the presence of this model (Veloz Hybrid) emphasizes Toyota's commitment to democratizing electrification technology to the wider family MPV segment. This car is priced at Rp. 299 million for the V Grade series, especially for reservations until December 31, 2025," wrote Toyota in its official statement, December 29.

In terms of specifications, the Veloz Hybrid carries a 1,500 cc 2NR-VEX engine and the same hybrid system as the Yaris Cross. The hybrid system uses a series-parallel Toyota Hybrid System that provides a smooth, responsive, and instant driving transition.

Overall, the system, the car emits 111 PS at 5,500 rpm and torque from the engine 121 Nm and 141 Nm from the drive motor. The tank capacity is 43 liters and the battery uses lithium-ion technology.

Compared to the gasoline version, the fuel consumption of the Veloz Hybrid is guaranteed to be more efficient, even claimed to be 40 percent better than the Veloz gasoline. On the other hand, Toyota is also rumored to no longer sell the Veloz gasoline, after there is a hybrid version.
