Subbrand Chery ICar Will Enliven IIMS 2025, Bring V23 SUV?

JAKARTA - The Indonesian automotive market is certain to have a new brand from China, the brand in question is the iCar subbrand of the Chery Group which will take part in the IIMS 2026 exhibition.

This certainty is stated in the picture during the IIMS 2026 press conference, from various car brands there is the name iCar. Indeed, iCar itself is already present in neighboring Malaysia, and it means that it will soon be present in Indonesia.

"Yes (under the Chery Gorup), there will be a Release later, Jaecoo," he said, when confirmed during a press conference, in the Kuningan area, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 2.

When asked about the product, he did not specify the details of the model to be brought, it's just that it is predicted that V23 will be the first model to be introduced, considering that it is already present in neighboring countries.

"You also definitely know (the V23 model)," he added.

By design, the car that the VOI team met during a visit to Wuhu, China, displayed a strong impression inspired by well-known offroad cars such as the Toyota Land Cruiser, Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

This can be seen clearly from his upright body, round front lights, cornered wheel arches and backdoor side openings with installed utility boxes.

The V23 interior also looks more functional, as it does not integrate all vehicle functions into the 15.4-inch central infotainment touch screen. For those who like touch, a panel with a play button located just below the air ventilation.
