After Ready To Announce L8 Price January, Delivery Starting February 2026

JAKARTA - Apart from this, Chery's new subbrand in Indonesia, will announce the official L8 price in January next year and plans to start shipping to consumers in February.

Deputy Country Director of Free Business Unit Indonesia, Ricky He, explained that after the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) exhibition, his party will hold a series of additional events, including more in-depth driving experience activities for L8.

"We will launch the official L8 price at the end of January, and there will be a series of other events for media and consumer colleagues," he said at ICE BSD, Thursday, November 27.

Apart from also targeting ambitious sales, namely 2,000 units per month by the end of 2026, 5,000 units per month by 2027, and 10,000 units per month by 2028.

"Our target is 2,000 units per month by the end of 2026," he added.

From a technical point of view, Release presents a different approach through a completely new chassis architecture. They insist they don't use Chery's T1X platform used on the Tiggo 8 line.

The new platform, named LEX, is the main foundation for the Release of L8 and its newest generation hybrid system which is designed to be more efficient and adaptive. As a result, the proportion of car bodies is made more distinctive according to the character of this subbrand.

This technical advantage also has an impact on efficiency. The LEX platform allows the consumption of combined fuel which is claimed to reach 1.49 liters per 100 kilometers, or the equivalent of 67.11 km/liter. In addition to being efficient, the L8 Release cruise is also claimed to be able to penetrate more than 1,300 kilometers in one full charge of gasoline and electricity combinations.
