JAKARTA Changan officially enlivened the Indonesian automotive market on Wednesday, November 19. This marks a new step for the global manufacturer from China in expanding its product network and portfolio in Southeast Asia.

Not only attending, Changan Indonesia immediately took advantage of the launch momentum of the brand by introducing Deepal S07 and Lumin. The two models are planned to be officially marketed at the GJAW 2025 event.

This initial step turns out to be just the beginning of a major expansion strategy that has been prepared for the next three years. Vice President of Change South East Asia Business Division Zhou Qing, revealed that Changan will bring two brands to the country's market, namely Deepal and Changan.

He emphasized that the new product series is already included in the company's medium-term plan. Where, there will be five new models in the next few years with varying machine options.

"In three years, we will carry five models. There are BEV (pure electric cars), PHEV (plug-in hybrid), HEV (hybrid), and REEV (range extended EV)," Zhou Qing said in Jakarta.

It doesn't stop at the engine and electrification variants, Changan is also preparing a 7-seater model that will complement the growing family market. At the brand launch event, Changan also showed off several other models from the sub-surface, such as Avatr 07, Avatr 11, Avatr 012, Deepal S05, to Q07.

If it is true that five new models will be introduced in the next three years, the row of cars brought to the event is likely to be strong candidates. The closest models that are expected to enter the market are Deepal S05 and Q07, the SUV segment which is currently in demand by Indonesian consumers.

More than just selling products, Changan also brings a long-term vision by preparing for the development of domestic industries, including local production potential. Changan collaborates with the Indomobil Group in its marketing in Indonesia.

"The presence of Changan in Indonesia is not just introducing a new automotive brand, but presents a new perspective in mobility. Together with Change Automobile, we aim to present a solution that combines global technology with a deep understanding of local needs," said Indomobil Group Director Andrew Nasuri.
