JAKARTA – At the 2025 SEMA Show, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, United States, Honda reaffirmed its commitment to the world of performance and motorsports. A total of eight performance vehicles from Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) were on display, ranging from race cars and concept vehicles to high-performance production models.

At the same event, Honda also introduced various prototype components developed by HRC engineers, such as lightweight forged wheels, performance suspension, and the latest aerodynamics.

"Embracing the spirit of 'From Track to Street,' HRC demonstrates how professional racing experience translates into technology that Honda and Acura fans can enjoy in their everyday lives," reads an official Honda statement on Friday, November 7.

From rally tracks to circuit tracks, and from off-road SUVs to sports sedans, the entire lineup of vehicles on display reflects the close connection between the worlds of racing and the road.

One of the main highlights at the Honda booth was the Civic Type R HRC Rally XP, a Civic Type R-based rally car that was tested directly by professional racer Liam Lawson in Texas. This project was developed using HRC's experience in Touring Car racing and the HART Acura Integra rally project, in collaboration with Rally Ready.

This car is prepared to compete in the American Rally Association (ARA) 2WD class. A number of HRC performance components are installed, such as camber and caster plates, an oil cooler kit, an intercooler, a radiator reverse cooling system, a clutch plate differential, and rally suspension and hood vents. Prototype components such as custom brakes, a carbon hydraulic handbrake, a custom exhaust, and a tubular subframe also enhance performance in extreme terrain.

On the off-road side, the Honda Passport TrailSport HRC Concept symbolizes HRC's exploration of rugged terrain. Based on the Passport SUV, this concept model features a 60 mm raised suspension, new dampers, and larger tires. The body features additional protection, rock sliders that double as steps, and a low-profile roof rack with a canopy and integrated air compressor. Its matte Thermal Orange paint job with a black roof and HRC-inspired Alcantara interior create a rugged yet exclusive look.

The Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype also draws attention with its high-performance potential on the road. This model features lightweight forged wheels adapted from the Acura ARX-06 race car, along with a suspension and aerodynamic package designed for optimal efficiency and control. Its presence demonstrates HRC's commitment to bringing racing technology to the road.

Honda also showcased the Baja Passport Race Truck, powered by an HRC-built twin-turbo V6 engine. It previously finished second in the Baja 500 and is now ready to compete in this month's Baja 1000. This car features a new body inspired by the 2026 Honda Passport, while showcasing HRC's signature toughness and durability in extreme terrain.

Furthermore, the Civic Type R Super GT Racecar also made its debut in the United States. This race car competed in the 2025 Autobacs Super GT Series in Japan and achieved several pole positions and podium finishes throughout the season.

Visitors were also able to see the Civic Type R TCR Racecar, a Civic Type R-based race car that competed in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with drivers Karl Wittmer, LP Montour, and Dai Yoshihara, achieving numerous wins throughout the season.

At the highest-performance level, Honda also presented Alex Palou's IndyCar, powered by a 2.2-liter Honda Indy twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine. This car successfully led Palou to the 2025 IndyCar world championship, both in the Driver and Manufacturer categories.

Meanwhile, in the Acura area, visitors were presented with the Acura ARX-06 IMSA GTP Prototype, a hybrid-electric endurance race car that has won three IMSA Prototype championships, three Rolex 24 races at Daytona, and finished second in the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar GTP Championship.
