Encourage Green Mobility In Jakarta, Wuling Mitra EV Undergoes A Joint Trial With TransJakarta

JAKARTA - Wuling Motors (Wuling) together with PT Transport Jakarta (TransJakarta) are collaborating, to start a trial of Wuling's latest commercial electric vehicle, Mitra EV.

This moment is part of a joint commitment to accelerating the transformation of public transportation, which is certainly environmentally friendly in Jakarta.

The signing of the MoU was carried out by Welfizon Yuza as the President Director of PT Transport Jakarta and Tang Wensheng as President Director of Wuling Motors, of course this step is an important milestone for both parties.

TransJakarta itself is preparing an electrification roadmap with a target of 3,000 new fleet units and 3,000 electricity-based replacement units in stages, in an effort to support Jakarta to the city with low emission transportation. The presence of Wuling Mitra EV in the trial phase is a tangible form of support from the automotive industry for this vision.

Sales Operation Director of Wuling Motors Kharismamawan Awangga, said that the EV partners are here as a form of Wuling's commitment to supporting greener and more efficient public transportation.

"We are optimistic that this electric commercial vehicle will be able to answer TransJakarta's operational needs. Through the signing of the MoU, this can be a real step in the future of low-emission mobility in the capital city. We hope that EV partners can become trusted partners in supporting safe, comfortable, efficient, and sustainable transportation services," he said, in an official statement received, Tuesday, November 4.

PT Transport Jakarta also positively welcomes the Wuling Mitra EV test. This collaboration is expected to be the first step to provide cleaner and more efficient public transportation services.

"This trial will run in the next 1 month, therefore the signing of this MOU is very important, because there is a very crucial clause in it. Transjakarta continues to expand its synergy with various parties to build a sustainable transportation ecosystem," said TransJakarta Operations and Safety Director Daud Josep.

As Wuling's first electric commercial vehicle in Indonesia, the EV Partner was developed with the spirit of One Partner, Many Solutions'. This model is designed to function to meet various needs including passenger transportation. EV partners offer a wide cabin capacity, practical cabin access, and a comfortable cabin with AC double blower.
