JAKARTA In the midst of major changes in the world of global transportation, Isuzu shows its future through a more effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly vision of mobility. All of these ideas were realized through the presence of a Vertical Core Cycle Concept (VCC) or futuristic autonomous vehicle which was first introduced to the world at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show (JMS), Tokyo Big Sight.

According to PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia's Division Head of Business Strategy, Rian Erlangga, the presence of VCC is a real symbol of Isuzu's commitment to responding to future mobility demands.

"VCC is a manifestation of Isuzu's latest innovation to answer the growing transportation needs, where the logistics sector and passengers can move together to their destination," he said in an official statement received, Monday, November 3.

Furthermore, Rian explained that this concept was born from the need for an adaptive and multifunctional transportation system. Through a flexible modular design, Isuzu presents vehicles that can be changed according to function: carrying passengers, transporting logistics, or even both in an integrated system. "This is our way of asserting Isuzu's position as Real Partner, Real Journey, which has always adapted to changing times," he added.

Revolutionary Design: From Horizontal To Vertical

Unlike conventional vehicles that use a horizontal framework, the VCC carries a Vertical Core' model, a revolutionary approach to vehicle structure. This vertical framework provides high flexibility, allowing various modules to be removed according to user needs.

The back of the vehicle is equipped with a box-shaped module that can be replaced one when it can be used to carry passengers, and at other times to transport goods. With this system, one unit of VCC can serve various mobility scenarios, ranging from urban transportation to remote logistics distribution.

Autonomous And Smart

Isuzu designed the VCC fully based on autonomous technology. Powered by state-of-the-art sensor networks spread across all parts of the vehicle, each VCC unit is capable of moving independently without a driver. This technology allows coordination between passenger modules and logistics efficiently, promising a safe, precise, and human error-free transportation system.

Environmentally Friendly Electrification And Vision

Behind its futuristic design, the VCC also brings the spirit of sustainability. This vehicle relies on a fully electrified system, with no exhaust emissions, with a range of 500 kilometers in a single charge.

This step is in line with Isuzu's global vision to achieve carbon neutrality and create a cleaner, smarter, and sustainable transportation ecosystem for the future.

Through the Vertical Core Cycle Concept, Isuzu not only introduces the prototype of new vehicles, but rather redefining the way the world views mobility where a vision where efficiency, sustainability, and combined technology creates a better journey for all.
