JAKARTA Denza, the premium brand under BYD, officially launched its newest major SUV for the Chinese market, the six-seat Denza N8L Model is Denza's strategic step to strengthen its position in the high-end new energy vehicle (NEV) segment, having previously been better known through its flagship MPV model.
Denza N8L appeared with an elegant and dashing design, highlighting the character of a high-performance luxury SUV. This car has a length of 5,200 mm, a width of 1,999 mm, and a height of 1,820 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,075 mm which promises a wide cabin and comfort for all passengers.
This vehicle uses the DIS-A chassis system developed by BYD and is equipped with the 'God's Eye B' smart driving assistance feature. This technology allows cars to park automatically from one place to another and supports various advanced driver assistance functions.
From the performance sector, Denza N8L relies on a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system with three electric motors capable of producing a total power of up to 560 kW or about 751 horse power. The 2.0 liter turbo gasoline engine used produces 152 kW of power with a thermal efficiency of 44.13 percent.
This combination makes the large SUV capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 3.9 seconds, a number that is in the same class as a high-performance sports car. For electricity sources, Denza N8L is equipped with a typical BYD battery with a capacity of 46.99 kWh.
With this configuration, the car is able to cover a distance of up to 230 kilometers in full electric mode (based on CLTC standards). When combined with a gasoline engine, the total range can reach about 1,300 kilometers. As reported by CNEVpost, Thursday, October 30.

Denza markets N8L at prices starting from 299,800 yuan or around Rp702 million, while the highest variant is priced at 329,800 yuan or around Rp772 million. In addition, buyers who make orders before November 30 are still entitled to this year's purchase incentives, even though delivery is made next year.
Despite bringing many innovations, Denza still faces major challenges in the large SUV segment. The previous model, Denza N8, only lasted less than a year due to low market interest. Currently, Denza's sales are still dominated by the MPV D9 model which accounts for more than 70 percent of the brand's sales.
The launch of the N8L Denza also marks a new era under the leadership of Li Hui, who replaced Zhao Changjiang as head of sales since last July. The presence of this SUV is an important step for Denza to reaffirm its image as a modern premium vehicle manufacturer that combines advanced performance, comfort, and technology in one package.
