Suzuki Will Present New Products At GJAW November 21, Ertiga Baru?

JAKARTA - The Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) exhibition is a place to share manufacturers to present the latest products, including from a well-known Japanese brand, namely Suzuki.

"At GJAW we will launch a new product that will enliven Indonesia's automotive market," said Head of Brand Dev & Digital Project Marketing 4W Taufiqi Andreawan, during his presentation, during a press conference, in the Senayan area, Thursday, October 24.

There were no more detailed leaks that he disclosed. However, recently the Japanese brand launched the XL7 Hybrid Alpha fire, a special version with an all-black exterior display that highlighted the exclusive impression.

Regarding the new product, it is very likely that the model in question is a product refresher from the Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) model, namely Ertiga. Previously, the 4W Deputy Managing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, Dony Ismi Saputra, had said that he would launch a refresher.

According to Dony, this step was taken after seeing a shift in trend from Ertiga Hybrid users to XL7 Hybrid because the price difference was not too significant. This phenomenon, said Dony, is the reason Suzuki must move quickly so that Ertiga remains competitive in the stricter Low MPV market.

What we see is a shift from Ertiga Hybrid users to XL7 Hybrid users, because maybe the price difference is not too significant. So they prefer the XL7 Hybrid. We cannot stand still such a tendency. In the near future, we will definitely refresh it," Dony told reporters in Jakarta, Saturday, October 17.

As is known, the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is still one of the backbones of Suzuki's sales in the LMPV segment. This model competes directly with Toyota Avanza and Mitsubishi Xpander. The presence of a refresher version is expected to be able to attract consumer interest in the seven-passenger's family car.
