JAKARTA - Kia Australia has just made an important history with the success of selling one million vehicles in Australia. It is the sale of one unit of Kia Tasman X-Pro Dual Cab, marking this achievement.

The historic vehicle was purchased by a customer of a Motorama Kia dealer in Queensland. This achievement shows Kia's increasing popularity and its ability to adapt to Australia's dynamic market needs.

Kia's journey in Australia began in 1988 with the launch of the Rocsta model. It took Kia three decades to reach 500,000 cumulative sales units by 2018. However, remarkably, Kia managed to multiply the figure in just seven years, reaching 1 million units.

"This milestone reflects Kia's growing power in Australia and the significant role of this market in our global success," said Executive Vice President and Head of Global Operations Division Kkia Tae-Hun (Ted) Lee, highlighting the important role of the Australian market in the company's global success.

He also added that the warm welcome to the Tasman model shows the importance of developing vehicles specifically designed for the needs of each region.

Kia's success in Australia is also reflected in the various recognitions achieved. In 2022, Kia is at the top of the National Dealer Satisfaction Survey, proving the reliability of excellent brands and customer services.

In addition, in 2024, Kia surpassed 80,000 sales units in one year for the first time. With growing product lines, including electrified vehicles and award-winning models such as Picanto, Carnival (the best-selling person transport car in Australia), and the newly launched Tasman, Kia continues to meet the various driver needs in Australia.
