Having A Myriad Of Safety Features, Toyota Yaris Cross Wins 5 Stars From ASEAN NCAP

Toyota's car model, Yaris Cross, proved its toughness by achieving the 5-star highest rating in the ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries) hit test.

Toyota Yaris Cross managed to get a total score of 83.02 points from the test results. This All-rounder already has various advanced safety features, both active and passive, who are able to protect passengers well.

Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Jap Ernando Demily, expressed his gratitude for the 5-star rating obtained by Toyota Yaris cross.

"This credible assessment is in line with Toyota's global commitment to providing safe mobility solutions for everyone. The tests conducted for the Yaris Cross model were tested using the latest protocol 2021'2025 in four (4) testing categories. Yaris Cross managed to record 36.36 points in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category, 17.32 points for the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category, 16.89 points in the Safety Assist (SAT) category and 12.12 points for the Motorcyclist Safety (MS) category.

ASEAN NCAP assesses that this car provides good protection for passengers who sit in the vehicle on various testing methods.

The construction of modern chassis, which was designed from the start to protect passengers, was able to optimally reduce the impact effect from all over.

In addition to the all-new platform that focuses on improving driving quality, Toyota also presents various active and passive security features to Yaris Cross.

There are several features offered. For example, 6-airbags, ABS+EBD+BA brakes, Parking Sensors, Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Near Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), plus the Panoramic View Monitor feature that provides assistance when parking, on type S.

The combination of chassis with active and passive safety features, has made this urban car able to anticipate all potential hazards on the road properly and without any problems.

To improve the comfort and safety of driving even better, all types of Medium SUVs are also equipped with Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto Brake Hold.

Meanwhile, the Light Fire Extinguishing Tool (APAR) in the gloves box is the first response when the car is in a fire emergency.

There is also Toyota Safety Sense which can help drivers to drive safely and comfortably on all road conditions.

At the same time, this feature helps reduce the potential for car damage and severe injuries to passengers and other road users if the accident is unavoidable.

The TSS 2.0 features embedded in the Toyota Yaris Cross Gasoline type S and Yaris Cross HEV include, Pre-Collition Warning & Pre-Collition Braking (PCWPCB), Pedal Missoperation Control (PMC), Front Departure Alert (FDA), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), and Lane Keeping Control (LKC).
