Chery is one of the many automotive brands from China that does not play games in its global expansion. The manufacturer will strengthen its presence in the British market by launching two SUV lines.

Reported by Autocar, Wednesday, July 9, the automotive manufacturer based in Wuhu, China will launch two SUVs, namely Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8. This step was taken to compete with several rivals such as BYD and Geely.

Not only that, the land of King Charles is one of the profitable markets for brands from China. One of the subbrands of Chery, Jaecool has successfully registered more than 8,000 cars in the UK by 2025.

This number is certainly more than other experienced manufacturers such as Fiat with 6,136 cars and Jeeps to 6,624 units and close to 9,499 vehicles from Suzuki.

Despite potentially competing with other foreign Chinese automotive brands, Chery is still losing to BYD who has registered 19,390 units this year on British soil.

The Tiggo 7 model will compete with a number of well-known models such as Dacia Bigster, Kia Sportage, and Volkswagen Tiguan in the medium SUV segment. This one has dimensions with a length of 4.51 m, a width of 1.86 m, and a height of 1.69 m.

Meanwhile, Tiggo 8 is positioned above the Tiggo 7 which will be Volkswagen Tayron and Peugeot 5008 rivals. Speaking of dimensionality, this SUV has a wider dimension with a length of 4.72 m.

Although it has not been officially disclosed, both are expected to enter the British market with the same specifications as Australia. As an illustration, Tiggo 7 has the same engine as Jaecool 7 which is 1.5 liters of 4-cylinder turbo which can pump up power with a choice of 184 cellphones and 201 cellphones.

Moving to Tiggo 8, this car has a choice of 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that can send 241 hp combined with dual-clutch transmission and 1.5 liters combined with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system.

Chery has not confirmed the launch time of Tiggo 7 or Tiggo 8 in England, but does not rule out the possibility of playing at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week.
