JAKARTA - Porsche revised its electrification strategy by considering adding a line of gasoline-engined vehicles. Furthermore, the brand is rumored to be presenting an ICE-engine SUV before the end of the decade.
It was stated that the car would be a replacement for the gasoline-engined Tigers, which had transformed into fully electric vehicles.
Porsche CEO Oliver Blume said this latest model will have a different design and performance when compared to the Tigers.
"We are developing a new model, a Porsche-type SUV, which will have synergies from other modules," Blume said as quoted by Autocar, Thursday, March 13.
Unfortunately, Blume did not want to reveal further details about the model, such as the engine used, size, and car dose in the SUV lineup from Porsche.
"The image and the first concept are currently being developed. This is something that will cost development. But for the future, it gives us more flexibility," added Blume.
