Volvo Trucks Driver Challenge Indonesia 2024-2025 Successfully Held, Here Are Two Winners

JAKARTA - PT Wahana Inti Selaras, as an importer and distributor from Volvo Trucks in Indonesia together with PT Indotruck Utama and PT Eka Dharma Jaya, successfully held the Volvo Trucks Driver Challenge Indonesia 2024-2025 event.

This event took place Tuesday, February 4 at Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta, which was attended by drivers from several provinces in Indonesia who had won the local Volvo Truck Driver Challenge.

President Director of PT Wahana Inti Selaran, Bambang Prijono said the event was held to highlight the importance of truck driver skills which are not only factors that determine productivity, but also safety.

"Volvo Trucks Driver Challenge really highlights the importance of truck driver skills which are a determining factor for productivity, efficiency and safety in the daily operations of transportation companies," Bambang said in his remarks to the media at Artotel Thamrin, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 5.

In the event, Faturohman from PT Saptaindra Sejati came out victorious because he got the highest score in the offroad category and Karly Irvan Pratama from PT Bukit Asam Tbk in the onroad assessment.

The two main winners will have the opportunity to travel to Gothenburg, Sweden in May 2025. In the country, the two will meet winners from various countries at the Volvo Trucks world-level event.

Globally, the Volvo Trucks Driver Challenge has been going on since 2009 and has been held for seven editions.

Apart from Indonesia, the event was also present in various countries consisting of Korea, India, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Turkey, Australia, and New Zealand.
